Lawrence P. Cogswell III, Ph.D.
Lawrence Cogswell is an Associate with the firm, and his practice focuses on intellectual property litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Larry worked as a Senior Associate at a Boston law firm where he was a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation and Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation groups. He represented clients in patent disputes in federal district court and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Larry was also a law clerk with the Honorable Arthur J. Gajarsa of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
During his graduate studies, Larry researched problems of interest to the pharmaceutical industry, including the elucidation of protein structure and the development of better methods for probing the interactions between drugs and their targets. His approach was multidisciplinary, spanning the fields of synthetic organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biophysical chemistry, molecular modeling and chemical kinetics.
Larry has published numerous articles in legal and scientific journals, and he has presented his scientific work at a variety of regional and national conferences.
