Leo R. Reynolds
After a career at Raytheon Company where he served as Director of Licensing, Leo Reynolds co-founded Hamilton, Brook, Smith & Reynolds, P.C. in 1980. In addition to drafting and negotiating license agreements, he practices patent law in a variety of technical fields that include semiconductor processing, digital telecommunications, microwave devices, lasers (both solid state and semiconductor), robotics, blood processing, electromechanical devices and electro-optical devices. Leo has drafted and/or licensed many of the early microwave oven, blood processing and laser catheter patents. His patent practice includes prosecution, reexamination, reissue and interference proceedings. Leo is also available for conducting patent validity and infringement studies, due diligence studies for financing of intellectual property assets, drafting and negotiating license agreements and for providing expert witness testimony on U.S. patent law.
He was a panelist for a licensing seminar in Jakarta, Indonesia, sponsored by the World Intellectual Property Organization. Leo was a guest speaker at the 24th Microwave Symposium of the International Microwave Power Institute (IMPI), where he presented a paper on "The Microwave Oven Story" which was reprinted as one of the four best papers published in the Microwave World Journal.
