Beyond the Innovation Bend

June 23, 2015

The Smaller Business Association of New England's (SBANE) next event, "Beyond the Innovation Bend," was held on June 23, 2015, from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Westin Hotel in Waltham, MA.

Among the attorneys from our firm in attendance was Deirdre Sanders, Mark Solomon, and Ron Demsher.

SBANE Event Description:

Invent.  Experiment.  Disrupt.  All are characteristics of SBANE’s 2015 New England Innovation Awards Finalists and Winners that possess potential breakthrough technologies in the medical space. These could be the next generation of diagnostic and surgical powerhouses that achieve both efficacy in health care cost and saving lives.

BioDirection, Gamma Medica and Medrobotics have all acquired strong intellectual patent protection in their respective health care space in order for them to raise capital and conduct clinical trials in concussions, breast cancer and flexible surgical platforms.

Executives of these companies have agreed to share these compelling stories on how they originated and where they believe their technologies will take them. This panel will be moderated by David Lewandoski, Partner at Grant Thornton, who has specialized in taking life science and medical technology companies public over the last several years.

We are grateful that these companies have agreed to give an SBANE audience a deeper look into the motivation that drives their business passion.
