Mark practices in the fields of electrical and computer engineering.  He assists with patent preparation and prosecution in a variety of areas, with a particular emphasis in computer systems, electronics, software, control systems and telecommunications.  Mark’s work on patent applications includes audio signal processing, computer programs and systems involving interactive user interfaces, methods of processing streaming data, and integrated on-chip memory. 

Mark’s legal experience includes assisting in drafting patent applications for electrical and computer technologies and replies to office actions.  He has also conducted legal research.

Prior to joining the firm, Mark completed an externship with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he conducted prior art searches and drafted office actions for pending patent applications.  He also assisted in drafting petition decisions and reviewed reissue applications.

Before entering the legal industry, Mark held various mechanical and electrical engineering positions, as well as positions concerning HVAC automation and monitoring systems.
