Samuel practices in the fields of electrical engineering, physics, medical devices and mechanical engineering. He assists with patent preparation and prosecution in a variety of areas.

Prior to joining the firm, Sam worked in a legal department where he conducted an internal review of the legal entities under the company’s control.

Before entering the legal industry, Sam held various positions in the higher education and corporate fields. He aided in the research of large self-assembling proteins and other molecules by preforming dynamic light scattering to predict the best conditions for crystallization and to examine behavior under different external stimuli. Sam also studied the effects of health care reforms on dialysis and other end-stage renal disease treatments. He co-created a program to compare mRNA activity in test cells under the effect of different drugs. This program can compare several thousand drugs and create a visual map that associates drugs by mRNA induced activity or suppression.
