AUTM 2016 Eastern Region Meeting

On Thursday, September 29, 2016, Mary Lou Wakimura and Philip Mazoki will be presenting "Which U.S. Patent Applications Are Getting Granted" at the Association of University Technology Managers' (AUTM) Eastern Region Meeting.  The meeting will take place at the Westin Hotel in Philadelphia, PA.

AUTMThe AUTM Eastern Regional Meeting is a networking and professional development conference drawing from the regional community of technology transfer professionals from academia and industry, venture investors and other intellectual property experts.  The meeting, a two-day educational and networking event, features special interest groups, educational tracks and interactive workshops developed for seasoned technology transfer professionals and newcomers to the field.

Mary Lou Wakimura For close to 30 years, Mary Lou has assisted clients with patent preparation and prosecution, copyright registration and portfolio management. She has particular experience with computer-related technologies and systems relating to imaging, video applications, medical systems, business or transactional methods, bio/chemical analysis and processing, alternative energy, social networks and associated operations, and electro-mechanical matters, with and without a software component.  Mary Lou's practice also includes preparing infringement opinions and conducting due diligence directed to computer and software technologies.  More...
 
Philip Mazoki Philip practices in the area of electrical engineering. His legal experience includes patent and trademark prosecution, as well as patent and trademark litigation. Phil has significant experience drafting and prosecuting patents in the electrical and software fields. His litigation experience includes discovery and infringement and validity analysis.  Beyond working with many of our other clients, Phil enjoys working with clients in the greater Philadelphia and New Jersey areas, as well as across the U.S. and internationally.  More...
 

 

Viviane Martin

Viviane’s experience as a seasoned technology transfer professional includes her current position, as well as experience as Associate Director at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and various capacities at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

She has a research background with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Pharmacology.
