Giovanna Fessenden-Fairbank, Counsel and Digital IP Specialist at Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds, participated as a speaker at the Boston Bar Association’s annual IP Year in Review Conference on March 21, 2024, in Boston. The IP Year in Review Conference provided attendees with updates and insights on IP Law developments impacting the life sciences, high-tech, artificial intelligence, and arts and entertainment industries.

Giovanna joined a group of leading patent practitioners for the “IP in the Digital Age: Trends and Transformations” panel discussion starting at 3:30 pm. Her panel will discuss developments, including inventorship, authorship, and infringement controversies surrounding AI, the pending LKQ en banc appeal concerning obviousness of design patents, and strategies for leveraging pending patent applications, emerging litigation venues, and trade secrets.
