MIT Innovation Series Event: Intelligent Green Buildings

When
January 18, 2012

Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds is the sponsor of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge Innovation Series, “Intelligent Green Buildings” on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. The first wave of green building technologies has led to efficiency gains and a veritable explosion of green design options for the owners of new and existing buildings. The second wave of innovations targeting the built environment is going a step farther: to make buildings more intelligent from initial concept through design, construction, operation, retrofit and upgrade. Far from being futuristic concepts, these intelligent green building innovations are already creating real economic impact here in New England and beyond.

Led by moderator Jim Hunt, Chief of Environmental and Energy Services for the City of Boston, an illustrious panel at the intersection of technology, public policy and business will discuss technologies and solutions that are reshaping the way we think about and interact with the buildings we inhabit. Come hear about advances such as:

  • Design solutions for improved efficiency, durability, comfort and beauty
  • Lower footprint, higher value construction materials, processes and tools
  • Novel technologies for comprehensive building management
  • Innovative financing models for green construction, rehab and redevelopment
  • Applications that allow buildings to manage themselves
