When
April 7, 2021

On April 7, 2021, Giovanna Fessenden will join a group of Esports experts and the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge for a cross-chapter collaboration event with the MIT Enterprise Forum of San Diego, Atlanta, and South Florida.

Event Description:
Whether you realized it or not, Esports and Gaming are in the mainstream. This is great news because there are many opportunities to enter the ecosystem. The question is how, where, and when? In this session, we are going to take a deep dive into the economics of the esports and gaming industry, explore where those opportunities have been, currently are, and where they may be going.

The panelists have experience across the ecosystem, wearing multiple hats including as investors, developers, publishers, branding and marketing, economic development, and legal experts. On April 7, they will discuss:

  • What is driving industry growth?
  • What drives industry contraction?
  • Is this a sustainable revenue model?  How do you future-proof it?
  • How has COVID impacted the industry – or has it?
