Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds Named to Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Legacy Law Firms & Mary Lou Wakimura Recognized as Go-To Lawyer

In addition, Principal Mary Lou Wakimura was recognized as a Go-To Lawyer in Intellectual Property Law, an honor that celebrates senior attorneys known for their legal expertise, peer recognition, and innovative approaches. Attorneys selected for this recognition were nominated by their colleagues and chosen by a panel from Lawyers Weekly.

Mary Lou Wakimura serves as Chair of the Board of Directors at Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds and is a member of the Firm’s Management Committee. With nearly four decades of experience in intellectual property law, she advises clients on patent preparation and prosecution, copyright registration, and portfolio management. She has expertise in computer-related technologies, including imaging, video and mobile applications, and machine learning. Mary Lou is also actively involved in professional and industry organizations, including the Boston Intellectual Property Law Association (BIPLA), the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), the Asian American Law Association of Massachusetts (AALAM), and several startup accelerator programs.
