October 24, 2017

On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, Giovanna Fessenden was a panelist at the first "Law for ICOs and Blockchain" Meetup at Alley in Cambridge, MA. The event covered how the Howey test is applied to real world examples to determine whether an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) represents a security, and hence falls under SEC regulation.  Giovanna discussed how a company that may be considering an ICO can obtain a solid technical foundation.  Additionally, she delved into what makes a strong technical white paper that details the company's technology and innovations.  She also discussed patent law for blockchain applications.

Alley powered by Verizon locations are developed by Verizon, the world’s leading technology company, in collaboration with Alley, a membership-only community workspace for creators.
