November 1, 2018 (Boston, MA) - Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds has been ranked in the 2019 U.S. News - Best Lawyers® "Best Law Firms" list both nationally and regionally as a top-tier firm for patent and trademark law.  It is the sixth consecutive year that the firm has been recognized for patent law, and the second year in a row for expertise in trademark law.

Our firm has been recognized for each of the past six years for our professional excellence with persistently impressive ratings from our clients and peers.  By achieving a top-tier ranking, U.S. News - Best Lawyers confirms that Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds provides high-quality patent and trademark services to our diverse client base in the U.S. and internationally.

In order for a law firm to be eligible for a top-tier ranking, the firm must have at least one attorney listed in the current edition of The Best Lawyers in America, a listing which highlights the top four percent of practicing attorneys in the country.  Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds is proud to have nine attorneys who have achieved this ranking for 2019:  David Brook, Alice Carroll, John DuPré, Susan Glovsky, Deirdre Sanders, Jim Smith, Mark Solomon, Mary Lou Wakimura and Giovanna Fessenden.

Receiving a top-tier designation reflects the high level of respect a firm has earned among other leading lawyers and clients in the same communities and practice areas for their abilities, professionalism, and integrity.  John DuPré, President and Principal at Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds, commented, "We are pleased that our firm has continued to be recognized for our patent and trademark law expertise as a 'Best Law Firm' for our abilities in intellectual property law by U.S. News - Best Lawyers®.  I am also proud that each year, an increasing number of attorneys in our firm are selected to be among The Best Lawyers in America."
