Giovanna Fessenden-Fairbank Elected to Serve as Co-Chair of Boston Bar Association’s Internet and Technology Subcommittee (IP Steering Committee)

Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds is excited to announce that Giovanna Fessenden-Fairbank, Counsel and Digital IP Specialist at Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds, is now serving as Co-Chair of Boston Bar Association’s  (BBA) Internet and Technology Subcommittee (IP Steering Committee).

The BBA’s Internet and Technology Subcommittee meets monthly to discuss its goal of organizing four events throughout the year, with an option to organize one CLE program yearly. Giovanna and other steering committee members are responsible for developing relevant event topics and finding speakers to participate in the four events programs. The committee aims to bring together attorneys around the latest technologies to provide educational content to the Boston law community. The committee is working on two events on artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies. Click here to see upcoming events.

Giovanna is a computer scientist, intellectual property attorney, and blockchain specialist with 20+ years of experience advising high-tech companies and startups in software patents, software product development, licensing, open source software, trademark branding, post-grant patent challenges, litigation, and intellectual property strategy. Giovanna also serves as a Board Member of the Berkshire Innovation Center and is a frequent speaker on artificial intelligence, open source, blockchain, and patent strategies.
