Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds, an intellectual property boutique with offices in Boston and Lincoln, Massachusetts, seeks a Patent Attorney with a background in Biomedical Engineering. Candidates should have experience with patent drafting and prosecution and have the necessary skills to work on matters in most areas of Biomedical Engineering and related sciences. A Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline is required. Additional background in artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, medical devices, medical imaging, or robotics is a plus.
Successful candidates will have outstanding writing and interpersonal skills, as well as strong academic credentials in technical and legal areas. A J.D. degree from an accredited law school with admission to at least one state bar is required.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 – $220,000. The actual offered rate will be based on job-related factors, including but not limited to qualifications and experience. This range represents HBSR’s reasonable estimate of starting salary at the time of posting. This position is also eligible for an hours-based bonus.
